• Annual Competition Event
  Our flagship. The reason for, and culmination of our
  year-round efforts, the Competition annually features
  dozens of countries, with hundreds of pianists
  converging on San Jose from around the world. Still
  the only international piano competition in Northern
  California, and preparing for our 13th annual event,
  the Competition continues to increase in quality and
  exposure.
  
  
  
• In-Home Concerts
  In the spirit of 19th Century salon evenings, the
  Russian Music Competition hosts a seasonal In-Home
  Concert Series. These excellent recitals feature past
  competition winners performing on our beautiful
  Steinway grand piano, with an occasional Opera Night
  format. The intimate atmosphere, great music, and
  champagne and chocolates, all combine to make these
  among our most popular events.
  
  
  
  
• Student Recitals
  In conjunction with our Mission Statement of providing
  excellence and education through competition and
  performance, the Russian Music Competition believes in
  helping to create the next generation of concert
  artists, by providing recital experiences for advanced
  students. Held on a quarterly basis, these events
  also occasionally feature the most established
  professionals, including Van Cliburn Gold Medalist Jon
  Nakamatsu, speaking on topics such as “How to prepare
  for an international piano competition.”
  
  
  
  
• Additional Concerts
  At various times throughout the year, when the
  schedules of our friends in music permit, the Russian
  Music Competition hosts solo piano concerts, in our
  home venue of Le Petit Trianon Theatre. Our friends
  consist of the world’s finest pianists, including
  distinguished members of our international jury,
  laureates of the Van Cliburn and other prestigious
  piano competitions, and other excellent concert
  artists.
